Our History

The clinic was renamed on 31 March 2025 in honour of our Patron, Aunty Pamela Mam. Building on the tradition of Aunty Pam, and our Elders who have led the way, the Pamela Mam Health Centre is a hub of holistic health service development, propa best practice and shared learning to advance our commitment to health and strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities.

An investment by the Australian Government provided the basis for a complete rebuild of the centre, which enables us to provide more services to more people in our community.

The Pamela Mam Health Centre is changing the way we provide care to our community to allow for better access; one way in which we are doing this is through the new Pod model.

The Pamela Mam Health Centre acknowledges the Ugarapul and Yuggera people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work.  We pay respect to Elders past and present.

This website contains images, names, and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have passed away. With permission from their families, we have continued to use their images to acknowledge and honour their contributions in making our communities healthy and strong.
