Our West Moreton Deadly Choices team link with local schools to deliver the Deadly Choices education programs.

Deadly Choices’ education programs empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to make healthy choices for themselves and their families. The programs focus on Deadly Choices key messages to eat healthy, be physically active, not smoke or vape and access their local Community Controlled Health Service for a regular 715 Health Check.

The range of programs are delivered to primary and secondary aged participants in both school and community settings. Topics focus on different preventative health topics, including healthy lifestyles, tobacco/vaping, nutrition and traditional games. The programs span 8-10 weeks and are designed to progressively build upon each other, instilling cultural values and leadership to equip our younger community members with the tools needed to make Deadly Choices for a promising and healthy future.

The Pamela Mam Health Centre acknowledges the Ugarapul and Yuggera people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways where we work.  We pay respect to Elders past and present.

This website contains images, names, and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have passed away. With permission from their families, we have continued to use their images to acknowledge and honour their contributions in making our communities healthy and strong.
