Endocrinologists are specialist doctors who treat a wide range of conditions related to your hormones, like diabetes, menopause, puberty, thyroid conditions and more. Our endocrinology team specialises in endocrinology for Mob in Goodna.  You may be referred to an endocrinologist by a doctor if they think your endocrine system isn’t working properly.

The endocrine system explained

The endocrine system is a communication network in the body using hormones, which are chemical messengers released by glands.   These hormones travel through the bloodstream to reach cells and organs.  This system plays a crucial role in growth, development, metabolism, and reproduction.

Our services

The endocrinologist will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and family history and may organise additional tests to check how your endocrine system is working.

Where to start?

You will need a referral from your doctor to see an endocrinologist. Your GP can diagnose and treat basic hormonal conditions, but sometimes they work alongside a specialist.  The GP and endocrinologist will work together to provide the right medical care.
