Exercise Rehab

The exercise rehab program runs twice a week for six months, and it’s not only a safe and supported setting for exercise, but an opportunity to stay socially and culturally connected.
When you graduate from the program, you will have the skills and knowledge to manage your health better. You will be provided with an exercise program that suits your abilities, goals and movements you enjoy, and information on support services in your local community.

What can we support you with?
By participating in the program, you will receive support and develop skills to be able to:
- breathe easier
- build stronger bones and improve your balance
- feel calm and strong in your mind
- feel safer and more confident to move and get around
- get stronger and move your body more easily
- improve or manage your blood sugars improve the management of any aches and pains in your body
- learning about healthy food choices
- strengthen your heart and manage your blood pressure.
What happens at Work It Out?
The exercise rehab program offers a supportive and friendly group environment to yarn about your health, learn about living well and move with an exercise program especially tailored for you. The group is a welcoming space to share your journey and to feel safe, supported and connected. The team will work with you to develop your skills to support everyday activities that are important to you.

- Occupational Therapists
- Pharmacists
- Physiotherapists
- Social Health (psychologists and social workers)

Work It Out is delivered at Goodna Anytime Fitness.
Where to start?
To join, please yarn to your GP for a referral. The program accepts referrals from Pamela Mam Health Centre GPs and external GPs.
